E. SchrGdinger, The Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. Dublin Seminars (1949-I 955) andother unpublishedessays(Ox Bow Press, 1995), ISBN 1-881987- 08-6 Hardback; l-881987-09-4 Paperback.
1. Introduction
After Einstein, Schriidinger was the most prominent and the most adamant opponent of the Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum physics. As in Einstein’s case, the Copenhagen orthodoxy trivialised Schriidinger’s objections and understated his prominent insights. Gtittingen-Copenhagen physicists presented SchrGdinger as a reactionary, hopelessly trapped in the deterministic, naively realistic modes of thought of classical physics (Born, 1953).
